The arc
Thirty years of building — now aimed at AI
SHUBHRA has spent 30+ years in C-suite roles — CEO, COO and CTO — building organisations, platforms and people. He scaled an education group from 4 to 9 centres serving 10,000+ learners a year, a run recognised with the Economic Times “Best Education Brand” award in both 2018 and 2019, and established three Government-of-Odisha Centres of Excellence in digital transformation, AI/ML and innovation.
He is equally a builder of technology: architect of enterprise platforms including an ERP, a learning management system, and IBITES — an AI-enabled examination platform that has run live in production at a leading Delhi-NCR B-school for over three years. In 2024 he founded AiNGELS to bring that delivery experience to AI transformation: technology due-diligence and strategic advisory for 15+ organisations, agentic-automation builds, and GenAI capability programmes that have trained 200+ senior managers across 50+ FDPs/MDPs.
The scholar side is just as active. A Visiting Professor at IIM Sambalpur and PhD researcher in Information Systems, he is published in the Journal of Consumer Behaviour (ABDC-A), authored the HBR/Ivey teaching case “OTV LISA: Metamorphosis of an AI Anchor”, reviews for the Academy of Management, and has mentored 12+ student papers selected at IIM conferences. AiNGELS is the synthesis: an AI consultancy and learning company that builds, teaches and publishes.
